About this prompt
Pre-Launch Security Review
Apps built fast get breached in predictable ways: an id in a URL that reaches someone else's record, a secret key shipped in the client bundle, a plan limit enforced only in the browser, a webhook that trusts whatever calls it. This prompt is a practical eight-point review ordered by how those breaches actually happen, with a PASS / FAIL / CANNOT TELL verdict per item and the file and line where the model looked — so you can verify rather than trust.
How to use. Run it in an agentic tool with repository access (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Copilot, Gemini CLI) so the model reads the actual routes. Fill in the app, stack, auth model, what sensitive data you store, your public surface and which services send you webhooks. The output ranks the FAILs by exploitability from outside and gives a minimal diff for the top three. Fix those before you share the link.
What to change. For apps handling payments, add "9. PCI scope — confirm no card data touches our servers". For file-heavy apps, expand check 4 with "path traversal on download routes".
Not a fit. Formal compliance audits, and apps with no backend or user data.
