0. Plain-English summary (read this first)
What you’re buying. An auto-renewing subscription that gives you access to the Risemi learning library. Plans are 1 week, 4 weeks, or 12 weeks.
When you are charged. Now, for the introductory period at the introductory price; and then automatically on every renewal date for the next period at the renewal price — both shown on the checkout screen — until you cancel.
How to cancel. Open the Risemi app → Profile → Subscription → Cancel, or reply to any of our emails. You don’t have to call us or talk to anyone. Cancellation stops future charges; you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
Refunds. Within the first 14 days (EU/EEA/UK) or 21 days (everyone else) we offer a usage-gated money-back guarantee on your first charge — see §5.
Who is billing you. Lemon Squeezy, LLC, our merchant of record. Your bank statement will show “Lemon Squeezy” / “LMSQUEEZY*RISEMI”, not Risemi.
1. What you’re subscribing to
Risemi is sold as an auto-renewing subscription that gives you access to the full Risemi learning library: the personalized AI program, all course tracks, the 28-day challenge, all interactive lessons, AI-tool walkthroughs, and the certificate of completion. There is no free tier — access to the library, lessons, and certificate requires an active paid subscription.
2. Merchant of record — Lemon Squeezy
Payments are processed and invoiced by Lemon Squeezy, LLC (Delaware, USA), which acts as our merchant of record. That means:
- The legal seller for tax purposes (VAT/GST/sales tax) is Lemon Squeezy, not Risemi. Lemon calculates, collects, and remits the correct taxes for your jurisdiction.
- Your bank statement will reference Lemon Squeezy. If you see a charge you don’t recognise, search for “Lemon Squeezy” or “LMSQUEEZY”.
- Lemon stores your payment credentials on its PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure. Risemi never sees or stores your full card number.
- Your purchase is also subject to Lemon Squeezy’s own Terms and Privacy Policy.
3. Plans, pricing, and currency
We offer three plan lengths: 1-week, 4-week (monthly), and 12-week (quarterly). The price of each plan is shown on the checkout screen before you confirm the purchase. The exact price you pay is the price displayed on that screen.
Introductory price. Most users see a heavily discounted introductory price for their first billing period. Both the introductory price and the full renewal price are shown on the checkout screen. By confirming the purchase, you authorize Lemon Squeezy to charge you the introductory price now and the full renewal price for each subsequent period until you cancel.
Display currency vs charge currency. We display prices in one of nine currencies based on your location, for your convenience. Lemon Squeezy charges your payment method in US dollars; your card issuer may apply a foreign exchange margin. Your bank statement will show a USD amount that approximates the local-currency price shown at checkout, plus any FX spread your bank charges.
Local taxes (VAT/GST/sales tax) may be added on top of the displayed price at checkout where required by law; Lemon Squeezy remits these taxes to the relevant authority.
4. Auto-renewal & renewal reminders
Unless we say otherwise on the checkout screen, Risemi subscriptions renew automatically. At the end of each billing period your payment method is charged for the next period of the same length, at the renewal price displayed at checkout, and the cycle repeats. We send you an emailed receipt after each charge — keep an eye on the inbox of the email you used to subscribe.
Renewal reminder emails.
- Before your first renewal from an introductory price to a full renewal price, we email you a reminder at least 24 hours in advance, with a one-click cancel link.
- For any plan longer than one month (the 12-week plan), we also email you a renewal reminder at least 7 days before each renewal, per FTC and California auto-renewal rules.
1-week plan auto-conversion. The 1-week plan is a 7-day introductory subscription. If you do not cancel before the end of that 7-day period, your subscription automatically converts to our 4-week (monthly) plan and is billed at the monthly renewal price shown at checkout every 4 weeks thereafter — not at the weekly price. This conversion is disclosed on the checkout screen and is the same model used by most AI-learning subscription apps. You can cancel at any time from Profile → Subscription → Cancel.
5. Refunds and the money-back guarantee
5(a) Statutory right of withdrawal (EU / EEA / UK)
If you live in the EU, EEA, or UK, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the moment of purchase. However, by starting to use Risemi (taking lessons, completing exercises) before the 14 days have passed, you expressly agree that we begin performing the digital service immediately and you acknowledge that this causes your right of withdrawal to lapse for the part of the service already provided. We make this clear at checkout. If you have not started any lesson, you may withdraw within 14 days for a full refund.
5(b) Risemi money-back guarantee
On top of the EU statutory right (and as the only refund route for users outside the EU/EEA/UK), Risemi offers a usage-gated money-back guarantee on your first paid charge. The guarantee is conditional: you can claim it if you actively engaged with the program and it did not deliver the result we promised. To qualify, all of the following must be true:
- You request the refund within 21 days of your first Risemi charge (the initial subscription payment, including the conversion from an introductory price to the full renewal price);
- You meet the plan-specific engagement threshold below;
- You open Profile → Subscription → Request a refund in the Risemi app, or write to billing@risemi.io from the email address on the account; and
- The charge was processed through Lemon Squeezy (not Apple App Store or Google Play — those are refunded by Apple/Google under their own rules).
Plan-specific engagement thresholds.
- 1-week plan: you must have logged in on at least 3 different days within the 7-day period, AND completed at least 70% of the lessons in your active track.
- 4-week (monthly) plan: you must have logged in on at least 7 different days, AND completed at least 80% of the lessons in your active track.
- 12-week (quarterly) plan: you must have logged in on at least 10 different days within the first 21 days, AND completed at least 80% of the lessons assigned to those 21 days.
We verify daily logins and lesson completion against our progress records before approving a refund. Requests that do not meet the threshold for your plan will be denied — we’ll explain why and what was missing.
5(c) Renewals are not refundable
Renewal charges are not refundable. Once your subscription has automatically renewed for a new billing period (week / 4 weeks / 12 weeks), that renewal is not eligible for a refund — you can still cancel at any time from Profile to stop further renewals, and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
5(d) Abuse
We may refuse refunds in cases of obvious abuse: repeated refund requests across multiple accounts, immediate refund after fully completing all lessons (i.e., extracting the full value then asking for the money back), prior chargebacks, or breach of our Terms of Use.
5(e) Processing time
Approved refunds are issued by Lemon Squeezy to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. Depending on your bank, it can take additional days to appear on your statement.
6. How to cancel
You can cancel your subscription at any time, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period — you keep access until then. Cancellation is the same number of clicks as signing up: there are no retention agents, calls, or required justifications.
To cancel, do any one of the following:
- Open Profile → Subscription → Cancel subscription inside the Risemi app.
- Click the one-click “Cancel my subscription” link at the bottom of any renewal-reminder email we send you.
- Email us at billing@risemi.io from the address on the account, with the word “Cancel” in the subject line. We will action it within 24 hours on business days.
- If you subscribed through Apple App Store or Google Play, you must cancel through your device settings (we cannot cancel store subscriptions on your behalf).
Cancellation stops future charges. It does not, by itself, refund previous charges — see Section 5.
7. Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails (expired card, insufficient funds, etc.), Lemon Squeezy will retry the charge a few times over the following days and email you. If the payment cannot be collected, your subscription becomes inactive and your access to the Risemi learning library is suspended until billing is restored. Risemi does not offer a free tier — access requires an active paid subscription.
8. Price changes
We may change subscription prices for future renewals. If the price for your plan changes, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the new price takes effect, so you have time to review, downgrade, or cancel before being charged. You always keep the price you originally signed up for unless we have given you 30 days of advance notice.
9. Promotions and discounts
From time to time we offer promotional pricing, partner discounts, or gifted access. Promotional terms (duration, limitations, what happens at the end of the promo period) are stated at the moment of the promotion. Promotions cannot be combined unless we explicitly say so, and we may end them at any time without prior notice — without affecting subscriptions you have already started under those terms.
10. Chargebacks
Please contact us first at billing@risemi.io before opening a chargeback with your bank. Chargebacks are slow, generate fees on both sides, and can usually be avoided by a quick refund — which we are happy to issue where the policy in §5 applies. While a chargeback dispute is open, your account access may be suspended.
11. Account deletion vs. cancellation
Cancelling your subscription stops future billing but keeps your account, progress, and certificate. Deleting your account removes your account data from active systems within 90 days (subject to legal retention rules — Lemon Squeezy is required to retain billing records for up to 10 years). You can do either independently — see our Privacy Policy for what we keep and for how long.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Subscription Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app at least 30 days before they take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
