About this prompt
Scoped Edit: Change One Thing, Keep the Rest
"Make the app look more modern" is how the streak counter disappears and a login redirect breaks. Generated code gets fragile when every request is open-ended. This prompt is the discipline: one location, one change, one acceptance check, and an explicit keep-list that the agent must not touch — with a stop rule if the change cannot be made without crossing it.
How to use. Works in Lovable, Bolt, v0, Cursor, Claude Code, Codex and Copilot. Fill the four variables; the acceptance check is the important one — write it as something you can verify in ten seconds in the preview. The report at the end lists every file touched and how to revert, so you can review the change like a pull request instead of trusting it.
What to change. For multi-file features, run the prompt once per change rather than widening it; three scoped edits beat one broad one. If you work in a repo with tests, add "run the existing tests and report results" to the report section.
Not a fit. Refactors and redesigns, which need a different contract, and changes you cannot describe with an acceptance check — write the check first.
