About this prompt
Follow-Up for a Deal That Went Quiet
"Just checking in" is the most-ignored email in sales because it carries nothing: no new information, no decision, no reason to reply. This prompt writes the opposite. It opens by quoting one specific thing the buyer said on the call, acknowledges the silence in half a sentence without apologising, offers a next step they can accept by replying a single word, and gives them an explicit, graceful way to say "not now" — because a clear no is worth more than another week of silence.
How to use. Fill in the buyer, the timeline (last touch, what was sent, how long ago), the exact quote from the call that mattered most, a one-line summary of what you proposed, and the next step you want. You get the email under 110 words plus a two-line LinkedIn version for when email is not getting through.
What to change. If you have a real deadline (a cohort start, a price change), add it to {{next_step}} and the prompt will use it as the reason to decide now. For a freelance client who has gone quiet on a draft, replace "proposal" with "draft" in the timeline — the structure is identical.
Not a fit. First-touch outreach, and invoice chasing — both need a different frame.
