Risemi
Run 1 — "editorial minimal to swiss grid": 4 studies, mostly type-led layouts on cream, one with a single coral block. Keep #2.
Run 2 — "bold gradient to organic blob": 4 studies, loud and warm; #3 reads premium, #1 and #4 read like a crypto site. Keep #3.
Run 3 — "monochrome photo to dual-tone coral + blue": #2 and #4 both strong; #4 has a human figure, which the brief wants. Keep #4.
Run 4 — "brutalist to soft 3D": nothing on-brief; the 3D ones drift corporate. Keep none.
Run 5 — "magazine collage to clean product UI": #1 is the most distinct thing in the set. Keep #1.

Gut cut: 20 → 8. Brief cut (premium + human): 8 → 4. Coverage cut (meaningfully different): 4 → 3.

Directions to present:
A. Type-led cream with one coral block (Run 1 #2)
B. Dual-tone editorial photo with a figure (Run 3 #4)
C. Collage with torn-paper edges (Run 5 #1)
Move all three into Figma; start high fidelity on B.

About this prompt

Twenty Direction Studies in Thirty Minutes

Three hours on Pinterest, then one half-baked direction in Figma, then "can we see something different?" on Wednesday. Direction studies fix that: twenty quick explorations across the whole stylistic range of the brief, curated down to three distinct directions you can put in front of a client on Monday afternoon. This product is the study prompt — tuned with higher chaos and stylize so Midjourney explores rather than converges — plus the three-pass curation method.

How to use. Write the brief into the variables, then run the prompt five times, each time with a different {{style_a}} → {{style_b}} pair that spans part of the range (minimal → maximal, grid → organic, photo → illustration, mono → colour, flat → dimensional). Four images per run gives you twenty. Curate in three passes: a 90-second gut cut, a brief cut (does it match the tone?), and a coverage cut (are the survivors meaningfully different from each other?). Three directions, all on brief, all distinct.

What to change. Lower --c to 20 if the studies are too wild; raise --s to 400 for a more artistic set. Add --no text, logos, people if the brief excludes figures.

Not a fit. Production assets, and projects where the direction is already chosen.

3. PS-01 Premium Beverage Advertising Photography. Written for a beverage-brand hero ad and works from your attached references, but the prompt is only one line long, so lighting and composition would come from what you attach.

What to attach. Image 1: a clear, front-on photo of your real Northbound can, logo facing the camera.

Adapted prompt (4:5 Instagram ad)

Image 1: product photo of the Northbound cold-brew coffee can. Use this exact can.

A vertical 4:5 Instagram feed ad. A high-quality professional product photograph of a premium cold-brew coffee can, the 330 ml matte navy aluminium can from Image 1 with its white logo, standing upright and centered against a soft pastel pink seamless studio background. Preserve the can's exact shape, proportions, matte navy finish, white logo and label from Image 1; do not redesign it, recolour it or add any new graphics to it. The can sits on the same seamless surface with a few clear ice cubes and a small scatter of dark roasted coffee beans at its base. Realistic condensation droplets cover the can with soft reflections from the studio lights. Elegant soft lighting creates subtle natural shadows beneath the can. The can fills about 55% of the frame height in the lower two thirds of the image, logo facing the camera.

Text: the headline "Cold. Bold. Northbound." across the top third of the image, centered, in a bold clean white sans-serif with generous letter spacing, large enough to read on a phone. Render this headline exactly once, spelled exactly as written. Apart from the can's own logo from Image 1, no other text, no prices, no taglines, no extra logos, no watermark.

Ultra-sharp focus, DSLR macro beverage photography, premium café advertisement style, hyper realistic, clean commercial composition, 8K.

Tool settings: aspect ratio 4:5; in AI Studio or the API also set the output resolution to 2K so the headline stays sharp.

Adapted: subject swapped from a strawberry milkshake in a glass to the Northbound can, Image 1 reference and preserve-the-product line added, 4:5 aspect ratio and headline added, the original's second (infographic) paragraph removed.

[The full answer ends with a one-fix-per-turn table for headline contrast, product drift, garbled text and framing.]

Result library after one session (8 prompts queued, same anchor):
- hero-01 (16:9): founder at standing desk, headline space right — usable
- hero-02 (16:9): two colleagues, window behind — light blown out, rerun with "window to the left"
- social-01…04 (4:5): four learners in four rooms, same cream and blue — all usable as a set
- og-bg-01 (1.91:1): abstract blue and coral blocks on cream — usable
- character-01 (1:1): the recurring founder character, front-facing — becomes the --cref portrait
